Ok, so some of my blog posts can be pretty random. This is one of them.
Flipping through the channels recently, I came across “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts.
I know, pretty girly stuff but there are some good lessons.
One is the Physics of the Quest
What did it mean for you?
Here’s what it meant to me.
“If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting“ – translation, take risks and be vulnerable.
“And if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue” – be curious.
“And if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher” – be committed to learning and growing.
“And if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself” – be honest yet kind with yourself.
“Then the truth will not be withheld from you” – you will find your truth, your true self.
There you have it:
- Take risks and be vulnerable
- Be curious
- Be committed to learning and growing
- Be honest yet kind with yourself
- You will find your true self
Not a bad formula for living.
Now apply it to your dating life.
It works there too, right?
Especially the part where you find your true self.
That’s the best space to be in to meet someone!
